Explaining our project

My Team Members (Tata, Maya, Mafi, Poiva).
My team (Team Donkcorn) and I have decided to tackle a prominent problem in the Glen Innes community and that is domestic violence. Our original plan was to tackle drugs and alcohol but we have decided to try and take it down where it usually starts. We want to make sure that kids have focus in school and don't have to worry about coming home to domestic violence.

So to help we've decided to work with an event called Maybury Royale. We provide a sausage sizzle for the event and we get to raise awareness about domestic violence especially on Maybury St. There is an overwhelming amount of family arguments being heard on the st. Being a local it's easier to identify the problems on the street and in the community in general. With this event we could probably notice more streets that need help in the community and we could take the steps to help the parents.

We learned to target the homes. Domestic violence can impact a child's ability to learn so we want to make sure that every child in the community has a shot at having a great future. Anyways You can come down to Maybury Reserve on saturday if you would like free food. But not this week as it has been postponed until a later date.
